The Menehune Prawn Trap/Pot Hauler
Legends state the Menehune were a mythical Hawaiian people from ancient times that were small in stature but had considerable strength. Much as the same way this hauler is small but very strong. It is only 21" high, it was designed to compete with the "capstan style" hauler, but this one can actually haul traps! It will haul in two prawn traps and crab pots with no problem. The Menehune Hauler is meant for the "car topper", "aluminium tin boat" or "dinghy". It's not so big so you don't have to lean way out over the side of your boat to lift in your traps risk falling in.
The puller has an all aluminium frame as all Prawn Star Puller/Haulers do; it uses a xxxxlb ATV Winch Motor and a 10" pulley for extra torque. It comes with a H.D. non corrosive switch, resettable circuit breaker and 10 gauge wiring. A high strength long wearing main pillow block main bearing is used for great dependability. The Menehune is entirely Powder coated for that extra salt water durability.
